Job Description
Project Manager – Security Systems Installation
Location: Finland
Salary: €60,000 – €70,000 per year
About the role
Our client, a leading provider of electronic security solutions, is looking for a Project Manager to join a team responsible for installing security systems at customer sites across Europe. You will manage and coordinate the installation of orders received by the business, from initial planning through to final handover.
This role needs a high degree of initiative and autonomy, along with the flexibility to adapt to organisational change and shifting workloads. Extensive travel across Europe is required, including periods away from home.
You will also supervise Installation Engineers and any contractors engaged on projects, with particular responsibility for ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety and Environmental policy requirements of both the company and the client.
Responsibilities
• Take ownership of new projects assigned by the Operations Director, leading the planning, scheduling, installation and final handover of each one
• Review each project thoroughly to ensure a full understanding of the contract conditions
• Work with the Sales Representative and the customer to confirm that the specified equipment forms a functional, appropriate system, and resolve any queries that arise
• Action any agreed programme of works and delivery schedule, communicating changes promptly to the customer and Sales Representative. Where no programme has been agreed, notify the customer of the planned schedule at the earliest opportunity
• Take accountability for the profitability of all projects under your management, escalating any concerns to the Operations Director
• Monitor project progress and report changes to the Operations Director during regular project reviews
• Keep customers and other stakeholders regularly updated on project progress
• Arrange or coordinate customer training, and ensure commissioning and completion certificates are signed and delivered
• Provide all relevant documentation in a suitable format at handover
• Notify the Operations Director of upcoming project completions
• Provide input to ensure the most efficient invoicing schedule across your ongoing projects
• Comply with ISO 9001 standards, health and safety regulations, relevant industry certification requirements, and applicable Finnish and local country codes
• Adhere to all company GDPR and ISO 27001 protocols, and ensure those you supervise do the same
Requirements
• At least 2 years' project management experience on projects of similar volume and value
• Strong working knowledge of electronic security systems installation
• Training in, or good awareness of, standard forms of contract (e.g. YSE 1998, NEC, FIDIC or similar)
• Ability to create and interpret a programme of works using Microsoft Project or similar
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Visio and job costing software
• Fluent English required; Finnish language skills are strongly preferred but not essential
Benefits
• Opportunity to share in the company's future success
• Extended private healthcare
• Pension scheme
• Life assurance from day one
• Ongoing training and development
• Employee assistance programme with 24/7 access to free health and wellbeing support
• Optional annual private health screening, fully funded
