Security Systems Engineer
Location: Northern California (field-based, covering client sites)
Type: Full-time
Salary: $90,000 + incentive plan, overtime and benefits

The Role: A senior hands-on field engineering role installing, servicing and maintaining integrated security systems across a portfolio of enterprise client sites. You'll be the trusted technical lead on site, working with little supervision and representing the business directly to clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, commission and repair CCTV (analog and IP), access control, intrusion and associated peripheral equipment
• Carry out preventive maintenance on indoor and outdoor systems
• Diagnose and resolve complex faults on service calls, keeping client downtime to a minimum
• Pull, terminate and test cabling for new installs and upgrades
• Work at height using lifts, ladders and scaffolds with fall protection
• Document all installation and service activity accurately
• Join the on-call rota and travel overnight to client sites as needed
• Follow customer and company safety and confidentiality standards
Requirements
• 5+ years of hands-on experience installing and servicing enterprise electronic security systems
• Manufacturer certifications on several platforms (e.g. Honeywell, Pro-Watch, Kantech, American Dynamics, victor or other VMS)
• Advanced troubleshooting across integrated CCTV and access control systems
• Working knowledge of IP networking for security devices (PoE, VLANs, IP addressing)
• Confident with hand and power tools, MS Office and laptops
• Able to lift an 80 lb extension ladder and work in all weather conditions
• Valid driver's license with a clean record; able to pass a drug screen and background check
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Organized, self-managing and a clear communicator with clients
• Desirable: enterprise, data center or other critical-site experience
